Invitation from Convenor
As the Convenor of the Australian Society of Anaesthetist's 70th National Scientific Congress (NSC), it is my pleasure and privilege to invite you to Sydney from 8th to 11th September 2011.
This NSC is the only large scale anaesthetic meeting to be held in Australia in 2011 and promises to be bigger and better than ever. It will be held at the iconic Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre which is superbly located on the waterfront of Sydney's most popular tourist precinct, Darling Harbour. Our delegates will enjoy magnificent views over Darling Harbour and the city skyline, as well as world class facilities, internationally acclaimed restaurants and luxury hotels.
The scientific format of NSC 2011 has been changed from previous meetings, with a stronger emphasis on invited and sponsored international guest speakers from USA, UK and Europe as well as a comprehensive program of workshops, problem-based learning discussions and debates on controversies in anaesthesia relevant to anaesthetists both in public and private practice.
The theme of the Sydney NSC 2011 is "Green and Growing", chosen to reflect the increasing environmental awareness of anaesthetists and the wider community. Sessions relating to this theme will be included in the program and will address the environmental impact of anaesthetic practice.
The excitement of Sydney in September 2011 will continue at night with a fabulous family "Aussie Bush Dance" on one of Sydney's Piers, as well as the event of the year, a "Cotton Club - Roaring 20s" themed Gala black tie dinner with entertainment and one of Sydney's best bands at a unique venue, the Australian Technology Park.
So come and join us in Sydney, meet and network with your colleagues, enhance your anaesthetic knowledge and skills and enjoy Australia's foremost tourist destination.
